Christine, a native of Central New York, studied at Kent State University in Ohio before completing her education here in Syracuse
As an Occupational Therapy clinician, Christine spent sixteen years as a therapist/consultant in local school systems and rehabilitation facilities.
At the same time, Christine was a professional musician, leading Music Ministry at Fayetteville’s Immaculate Conception Church as a soloist, cantor/teacher and choir member, while singing/performing with Syracuse Opera Company and Syracuse Chorale.
Christine was co-founder of The Syracuse International Film Festival with her husband, Owen, and led the organization as its Executive Director for ten years. She now serves as a consultant to the SIFF.
Christine participated in the founding of The International Filmmaking Academy in Bologna, Italy with her filmmaker/film professor husband and famed Italian film producer Gian Vittorio Baldi. For the last five years she has served on the Board of the IFA as its secretary.
Currently, Christine is a member of CNY Film Professionals, the Fayetteville Home Garden Club, and a member of “Bandana”, a musical trio performing locally. She is also on the Board of Director’s for Meals on Wheels of Syracuse. She enjoys travel, writing, photography, gardening, herbs, cooking, films, antiquing, and reading, especially historical fiction. Currently Christine is working on a book about the German emigrant’s influence in the early years of Syracuse.
